Just to let everyone know where we stand on updating the OpenCollar scripts in our collars. All of our collars are still at OpenCollar version 6.4. We are aware the OpenCollar scripting effort has branched off into two distinct versions: the version from the original creators of OpenCollar, and the version offered by the FireFlower group. As we do not want to assume which of these versions our customers prefer, we are leaving that choice up to you, and leaving the scripts in our existing collars as they are.
This means that if you would like to update the scripts in your collar, you will need to choose between the available branches and get an updater from that group. The original OpenCollar creators are maintaining a website at https://opencollar.cc/ where you can read about their version of the collar. The FireFlower group maintains a website at https://www.opencollar.at/ where you can read about their version of the collar. You can receive an updater for the original OpenCollar creators' version at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Vineyard%20Isle%20Valley/199/185/2002, or you can receive an updater for the FireFlower group's version of the collar at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Arcadia/86/211/21.
We hope this information is helpful to you all. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to drop Katanya Mistral a notecard, or fill out the form at our blog, http://ame-sl.blogspot.com/p/contact-us.html

OpenCollar Drama & Quick Notice
This is a notice to let all of our customers know that there is currently a dispute going on between the owners/developers of OpenCollar.
While we were going to be updating all versions of our collars in the next few weeks, we are now waiting for the dust to settle on this whole fiasco before proceeding. We hope you all understand. We will also not comment further on the developing OC situation after this notice.
For those that wish to update on their own, as we always encourage you to do, please be aware that version 6.7 that is offered at the previous OC locations is not being officially supported by the OC group. (The OC Temple and Sidekick are no longer part of the official project, and are now run by the VirtualDisgrace project FireFlower.) That version should still work, but we wanted you to be aware of what we are learning. The official OC group is now beta testing a version 7.0. This is available through the OpenCollar R&D group. We are not currently aware of what differences there are between these two versions, but hope to get some time in the near future to work this out and assess the benefits of each.
Also, as a quick note, the official Relay For Life season ended in SL and our vendors and kiosks for donations have poofed from the main store. We will see if there is an off-season kit available to get these back up as soon as we are able.

Have you updated to OpenCollar 6.x yet?
Surprisingly, there are still a number of our customers that missed all of our original notices from the CasperVend system, the in world group, Flickr, our profiles, and information at the main store. If you would like to update a 3.x version full release collar from us to the new 6.x version, please follow the following steps.
Again, please note that this is only for full release collars, and does not apply to gacha collars. The collar you receive will have the build updated to OC 6.x, but it is likely you will still need to apply the most recent update from OC for any fixes that have come out since that particular collar was rebuilt.
Rebuilt collars were updated to OC 6.x, permissions were changed to Mod/Copy/No Transfer, and those that had texture change functionality were updated to use a HUD. Also, should there ever be a need for a build update in the future (this does not include OC script updates), an updater script has been added to all collars to allow for this to happen without the current exchange process.
We no longer offer custom leash particles in any collar. We can no longer offer a sub AO or owner's HUD, you will have to get these from OC locations. We will also not be offering support for scripts or items we did not create ourselves, specifically the OC system. Katanya will still try to point you in the right direction, or give you guidance with simple questions, and we will have links to their documentation here on the blog. Your best bet beyond this for OC questions is to play with the system yourself, or ask questions in their help group.
OC updaters and accessories can be found at The Temple of the Collar or OpenCollar Sidekick in world, along with a few available from a vendor in our main store.
1. Create a new folder with this format: <YOUR NAME> COLLAR NAME =UPDATE REQUEST=, where you replace the preceeding text with your Username (NOT display name) and the name of your collar, i.e. <Katanya Mistral> Sveimun Ari Jade =UPDATE REQUEST=
2. Place your collar inside the folder you just created.
3. Send this folder to Katanya Mistral, and we will get your new collar package delivered to you as soon as we are able.

Official OpenCollar Vendor in store
The folks at OpenCollar have built a new vendor to be distributed grid wide now that they have made the updates to OC 6.x for the collars they are keeping available. You can find one of these vendors in our main store, near the free gift vendor as you enter.
Though it doesn't look like updaters or the Heart R8 relay will be available through this vendor (for now at least, based on current contents), you should be pleased to note that you can get the Legacy Apps, OC AO, OC Remote, and OC premium apps like:
Spy - Consensual Monitoring, Reports login, sitting, teleporting, nearby chat, touching the collar
Sobriquet - Deluxe Renamer
Chatiquette - Set chat rules for your partner. Enforce proper addressing
Herzchen - Show your mood with little hearts
You can find out more about the premium apps on these pages:
http://www.opencollar.at/spy.html
http://www.opencollar.at/sobriquet.html
http://www.opencollar.at/chatiquette.html
http://www.opencollar.at/herzchen.html
Each of these apps costs L$200, which goes directly to OpenCollar. As these are not created or used by us, we are unable to offer you support on these extras; just like the AO, Remote, etc. We will try to point you in the right direction if you have issues with them.
Besides these premium items, everything else in the vendor is free. Simply click the large middle display and the item will be delivered to you. You also have the option of sending gifts from this vendor: just make sure the desired item is the one on the large middle display, click the gift box icon below that display, enter the name in the dialog box, click Submit, then click the display again. You will then be given the option for how you want the gift delivered: directly, in a giftbox so you can gift it, or to cancel. For the premium items you will need to pay the vendor before you get the gifting option.

Collar Update: Caethiwo
The OpenCollar 6 and additional updates have been completed for the CAETHIWO series of collars. If you would like to update your collar to OC 6, please follow the following steps:
(Please note: Your collar needs to be transferable in order for this to work. If you see (no transfer) next to your collar, you have probably added animations or other content to your collar that is No Transfer. Rez your collar and remove this content before you try to send it.)
If you have any questions on the update process, please check our last few blog posts on the process all collars are undergoing at http://ame-sl.blogspot.com/
***This completes the major updates for our collars. The frequency of our notices should hopefully go back to normal now. We thank you all for your patience as we have gone through this process.***

Minor Collar Update
As we have previously put out, the new OpenCollar build does not come with a RLV relay by default. This was a decision by OpenCollar, not something we decided to remove from the build. We have had some customers express concern about this and seem a bit confused about trying to install the Legacy Apps now offered by OpenCollar, or obtaining their RLV relay HUD.
We have made the decision to do a minor update to the collars to include the Legacy App plugins for the RLV relay and Un/dress. Please be aware as per the documentation included with the Legacy Apps, these are deprecated plugins and apps, and they "come as they are and without support."
We do not know for sure if these plugins will continue to receive updates, so at some time in the future their functionality may break when other parts of OpenCollar are updated. If this happens we will try to pass along how you can recover the lost functionality.
New build collars should receive the update when you next login, or you can request a redelivery from the main store redelivery terminal.

OpenCollar Six Concerns
We apologize to our customers that are frustrated with some elements of the OC 6 upgrade such as not having an RLV plugin, un/dress plugin, a sub ao and owners HUD no longer being included, or the change to ownership roles.
The plugins are no longer part of the default build offered by OC, but can be obtained from them as a Legacy Apps bundle. There is also an RLV Relay HUD available. The AO and owner HUD, now called a Remote, are also available from OC. As they now only distribute No Transfer items, we are unable to include these in our packages for you.
Please know that all of these changes are out of our hands. We do not have any more input into the development of OpenCollar than any other user. Neither of us are part of their development team. From what we understand, the OpenCollar team makes changes based on community feedback and script optimization. We appreciate that the team offers this system as open source despite the countless hours they spend on development and improvement.
We realize that these changes can be very frustrating for our customers, and we hope you realize that this whole process has been very frustrating for us as well. This is continuing to be a learning process for all of us.
For those of you that would like to pick up the Legacy Apps, RLV Relay, AO, or Remote, you can find them at the OpenCollar Temple or Sidekick. We recommend going to the Sidekick first as there is far less traffic.
