OpenCollar Drama & Quick Notice

This is a notice to let all of our customers know that there is currently a dispute going on between the owners/developers of OpenCollar.

While we were going to be updating all versions of our collars in the next few weeks, we are now waiting for the dust to settle on this whole fiasco before proceeding.  We hope you all understand.  We will also not comment further on the developing OC situation after this notice.

For those that wish to update on their own, as we always encourage you to do, please be aware that version 6.7 that is offered at the previous OC locations is not being officially supported by the OC group.  (The OC Temple and Sidekick are no longer part of the official project, and are now run by the VirtualDisgrace project FireFlower.) That version should still work, but we wanted you to be aware of what we are learning.  The official OC group is now beta testing a version 7.0.  This is available through the OpenCollar R&D group.  We are not currently aware of what differences there are between these two versions, but hope to get some time in the near future to work this out and assess the benefits of each.

Also, as a quick note, the official Relay For Life season ended in SL and our vendors and kiosks for donations have poofed from the main store.  We will see if there is an off-season kit available to get these back up as soon as we are able.

Sea of Gold RFL Event 31Mar-2Apr

Starting tomorrow at the Black Caste Killer Island, is our next RFL event.  We have a different set of aprons on special for L$50 each, all going towards RFL.  Our 50% off specials on our RFL clothes, which all goes to RFL.  10% from our normal vendors and gachas goes to RFL.  The gachas this time are Troellen and The Enchanted Beanstalk.

Relay For Life Donations

As we announced yesterday, we are currently participating in a Relay For Life event.  We wanted to give you some further details on how we are donating to the cause from that event.  In addition to our usual RFL clothing items, we also have 5 aprons on special for L$50 each, where each sale is donated to RFL.  10% of any purchase from our normal vendors, and from any of our gachas (all current gachas are there), will be donated to RFL as well.  This is something we have done before, and will continue to do at each RFL event.

Purple Connection Fair

::A Master's Eye:: and our previous businesses have always supported Relay For Life in Second Life. Our team name this year is a bit different, as the Goreans in the Relay For Life team has split up into supporting teams for the same cause.  We are now part of the Old World Artisans Guild, Team 22.

Our first event is the Purple Connection Fair from 16-22Mar.  Each vendor has 50% off sales, 50L specials, and there are gachas galore!  Help us raise money for a noble cause, and get some great deals at the same time!

RFL/BC items back in store

The RFL versions of Agored, Celt Dress, Draig Anadl, and Addurn Glain are available in the RFL tent outside the main store once again.  All sales from these vendors go straight to the American Cancer Society.

Please remember that like all of our outfits, these were all made pre-mesh bodies, so they go by standard sizing models, and do not have body specific sizes or appliers.  Those with appliers are for Lola Tango only.  If you need a demo of one of these outfits, you can grab one from their regular vendors inside the main store.

The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer version of the Vefja Camisk is also in the tent.

The cancer awareness ribbons are also back out, but this time, they are available in riot vendors (basically a gacha), so you might have more fun with them this way.

Should you not want one of the items, you also have the option to donate to either the RFL or MSABC kiosks.

Relay For Life Closing Weekend

The closing events for this years Second Life Relay For Life are occurring this weekend.  Our team is so very close to raising L$2 million for the cause, and I wanted to ask our dear customers if you could please help us meet that mark.  If you have the ability, could you please visit our main store and purchase one of our RFL outfits, or consider a donation to the kiosks at the main store or gacha yardsale.

Caravan That Cares

As most of you know, we try to take part in Relay For Life each year.  Our team has started a new event that we have decided to take part in, called Caravan That Cares.  This will be a small, traveling shopping caravan selling its RFL items at at least 50% off.  There will also be a static version of the caravan set up at the headquarters for the Gorean Whip Radio station.

Relay For Life Items Are Available Again

We are sorry for the delay, but we wanted to let everyone know that our special RFL edition items are back up again.  You can seem them below, along with our special Making Strides Against Breast Cancer edition item.  All of them are available at the main store only, in the RFL tent.

Fantasy Gacha Carnival is Closed

We just wanted to let everyone know that the Fantasy Gacha Carnival is now closed.  We will announce soon what our plans are for the Liàn collar; whether it will remain a gacha like the Èirich collar did, or whether we will be updating it to a full release.

We do have the off-season kit for RFL, and will get the RFL items back up just as soon as we can.  The special edition of the Vefja camisk for the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer fundraising is still up at the RFL tent at our main store.

Special Release for Breast Cancer Support

The official Relay For Life season has ended, as we are sure most of you know by now; but beginning today, and running through the end of October, the official fundraising season begins for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.  As we shared before when it was RFL season, cancer is one of those horrible diseases that hits home for my girl and I.  Due to this, we want to help in any way we can, even if it is only through the small donations we can gather from others in Second Life.

Please feel free to drop by the RFL tent (the purple tent) outside our main store to find a special pink edition of the Vefja camisk that we are offering for this cause.  Please help us spread the word about this as well, and get as many friends as you can to help us fight this horrible family of diseases.

As soon as the off-season kits for RFL are out, our RFL items will be available once more.

Relay For Life Specials

The Relay for Life season is upon us, and we are supporting the Goreans in the Relay for Life team.  We have special RFL releases out at the main store and at the Goreans in the Relay for Life kickoff event.  All proceeds fo toward our team's total in support of the American Cancer Society.

A Dheòin Blogged and an Awesome New Blogger

We are happy to introduce you to Kamini da Kitten (Catalina Staheli) who is co-owner of the blog SL Fashion for Goreans.  She is one of many Goreans involved in Goreans in the Relay for Life this year, and is the photographer behind the posters of "Why We Relay" for our team.  She has made a lovely post related to RFL and chose to use the purple version of A Dheòin for her post, which you can find here.

Updates

The Gacha Yardsale has been updated with new items, and now all of the items are in a vendor to reduce prim count and make searching easier.  Please note that rares are not included in the 50% off pricing.

There are more G&S goods available, some of which will have their prices lowered soon.  More food will be added soon, as well as blacksmith items.

We are still working diligently on the collar release, and are very close to getting it out for sale.  There will also be another fun release later this week that we hope you will all enjoy.
