Gacha Collars Updated

All current gacha offerings have been rebuilt or updated to OpenCollar version 6.4.

We will not swap your collar for a Mod/Copy version of one of the gacha collars.  Gacha collars do not come with improved animations.  Gacha collars are unlikely to receive any further updates.

OC 6.4 Updates Complete

We are sure most of you have already applied OpenCollar updates to your collars prior to this notice, but we wanted to let you all know that we have taken the time to go through and manually update all collars available in world and on Marketplace to OpenCollar 6.4. Some of our customers seem confused by the OC update process, so we hope this helps.

This update did not include a change to our updater system, so you will not be prompted to have, nor will you be sent an updated collar from our system. Should you need the update, you can visit the redelivery terminal at our main store, or request a redelivery from any of our in world vendors (left click one of our vendors, choose the "Redeliver" button; this can also be done from any other CasperVend merchant, but it is easier for you if it is one of ours).

For those of you that are still being prompted by our system about an update to your collar: this is from the updates we did last year, 2016, in February and March. OC 6.4 Update

"Why do I keep getting collar updates?"

As we transitioned to the new OC build earlier this year, we had a few extra updates that occurred.

If you receive an updated collar from our CasperVend system, please switch out that new collar with the one you are wearing.  Only wearing the most recent collar in our system, or opting out of the update system, will stop you from receiving more update deliveries.

There have been no collar build updates since March 2016.

Have you updated to OpenCollar 6.x yet?

Surprisingly, there are still a number of our customers that missed all of our original notices from the CasperVend system, the in world group, Flickr, our profiles, and information at the main store.  If you would like to update a 3.x version full release collar from us to the new 6.x version, please follow the following steps.

1. Create a new folder with this format: <YOUR NAME> COLLAR NAME =UPDATE REQUEST=, where you replace the preceeding text with your Username (NOT display name) and the name of your collar, i.e. <Katanya Mistral> Sveimun Ari Jade =UPDATE REQUEST=

2. Place your collar inside the folder you just created.

3. Send this folder to Katanya Mistral, and we will get your new collar package delivered to you as soon as we are able.

Again, please note that this is only for full release collars, and does not apply to gacha collars.  The collar you receive will have the build updated to OC 6.x, but it is likely you will still need to apply the most recent update from OC for any fixes that have come out since that particular collar was rebuilt.

Rebuilt collars were updated to OC 6.x, permissions were changed to Mod/Copy/No Transfer, and those that had texture change functionality were updated to use a HUD.  Also, should there ever be a need for a build update in the future (this does not include OC script updates), an updater script has been added to all collars to allow for this to happen without the current exchange process.

We no longer offer custom leash particles in any collar.  We can no longer offer a sub AO or owner's HUD, you will have to get these from OC locations.  We will also not be offering support for scripts or items we did not create ourselves, specifically the OC system.  Katanya will still try to point you in the right direction, or give you guidance with simple questions, and we will have links to their documentation here on the blog.  Your best bet beyond this for OC questions is to play with the system yourself, or ask questions in their help group.

OC updaters and accessories can be found at The Temple of the Collar or OpenCollar Sidekick in world, along with a few available from a vendor in our main store.

Collar Update: Caethiwo

The OpenCollar 6 and additional updates have been completed for the CAETHIWO series of collars.  If you would like to update your collar to OC 6, please follow the following steps:

1. Create a new folder with this format: <YOUR NAME> COLLAR NAME =UPDATE REQUEST=, where you replace the preceeding text with your Username (NOT display name) and the name of your collar, i.e. <Katanya Mistral> Sveimun Ari Jade =UPDATE REQUEST=

2. Place your collar inside the folder you just created.

3. Send this folder to Katanya Mistral, and we will get your new collar package delivered to you as soon as we are able.  (Please note: Your collar needs to be transferable in order for this to work.  If you see (no transfer) next to your collar, you have probably added animations or other content to your collar that is No Transfer.  Rez your collar and remove this content before you try to send it.)

Collar Update: Dennyn

The OpenCollar 6 and additional updates have been completed for the DENNYN series of collars.  If you would like to update your collar to OC 6, please follow the following steps:

1. Create a new folder with this format: <YOUR NAME> COLLAR NAME =UPDATE REQUEST=, where you replace the preceeding text with your Username (NOT display name) and the name of your collar, i.e. <Katanya Mistral> Sveimun Ari Jade =UPDATE REQUEST=

2. Place your collar inside the folder you just created.

3. Send this folder to Katanya Mistral, and we will get your new collar package delivered to you as soon as we are able.  (Please note: Your collar needs to be transferable in order for this to work.  If you see (no transfer) next to your collar, you have probably added animations or other content to your collar that is No Transfer.  Rez your collar and remove this content before you try to send it.)

Minor Collar Update

As we have previously put out, the new OpenCollar build does not come with a RLV relay by default.  This was a decision by OpenCollar, not something we decided to remove from the build.  We have had some customers express concern about this and seem a bit confused about trying to install the Legacy Apps now offered by OpenCollar, or obtaining their RLV relay HUD.

We have made the decision to do a minor update to the collars to include the Legacy App plugins for the RLV relay and Un/dress.  Please be aware as per the documentation included with the Legacy Apps, these are deprecated plugins and apps, and they "come as they are and without support."

We do not know for sure if these plugins will continue to receive updates, so at some time in the future their functionality may break when other parts of OpenCollar are updated.  If this happens we will try to pass along how you can recover the lost functionality.

New build collars should receive the update when you next login, or you can request a redelivery from the main store redelivery terminal.

Collar Update: Cadwyn

The OpenCollar 6 and additional updates have been completed for the CADWYN series of collars.  If you would like to update your collar to OC 6, please follow the following steps:

1. Create a new folder with this format: <YOUR NAME> COLLAR NAME =UPDATE REQUEST=, where you replace the preceeding text with your Username (NOT display name) and the name of your collar, i.e. <Katanya Mistral> Sveimun Ari Jade =UPDATE REQUEST=

2. Place your collar inside the folder you just created.

3. Send this folder to Katanya Mistral, and we will get your new collar package delivered to you as soon as we are able.  (Please note: Your collar needs to be transferable in order for this to work.  If you see (no transfer) next to your collar, you have probably added animations or other content to your collar that is No Transfer.  Rez your collar and remove this content before you try to send it.)

Collar Update: Dragon Scale

The OpenCollar 6 and additional updates have been completed for the DRAGON SCALE series of collars.  If you would like to update your collar to OC 6, please follow the following steps:

1. Create a new folder with this format: <YOUR NAME> COLLAR NAME =UPDATE REQUEST=, where you replace the preceeding text with your Username (NOT display name) and the name of your collar, i.e. <Katanya Mistral> Sveimun Ari Jade =UPDATE REQUEST=

2. Place your collar inside the folder you just created.

Send this folder to Katanya Mistral, and we will get your new collar package delivered to you as soon as we are able.  (Please note: Your collar needs to be transferable in order for this to work.  If you see (no transfer) next to your collar, you have probably added animations or other content to your collar that is No Transfer.  Rez your collar and remove this content before you try to send it.)

Collar Update: Lian

The OpenCollar 6 and additional updates have been completed for the LIÀN series of collars. (This is only for the full release version of this collar series, not the old gacha collars) If you would like to update your collar to OC 6, please follow the following steps:

1. Create a new folder with this format: <YOUR NAME> COLLAR NAME =UPDATE REQUEST=, where you replace the preceeding text with your Username (NOT display name) and the name of your collar, i.e. <Katanya Mistral> Sveimun Ari Jade =UPDATE REQUEST=

2. Place your collar inside the folder you just created.

3. Send this folder to Katanya Mistral, and we will get your new collar package delivered to you as soon as we are able.  (Please note: Your collar needs to be transferable in order for this to work.  If you see (no transfer) next to your collar, you have probably added animations or other content to your collar that is No Transfer.  Rez your collar and remove this content before you try to send it.)

Collar Update: Stormborn

The OpenCollar 6 and additional updates have been completed for the STORMBORN series of collars.  If you would like to update your collar to OC 6, please follow the following steps:
